Show not tell, setting writing

Hello bloggers. This week we are working on using descriptive language by sharing our writing straight onto our blog.  The challenge we have is to describe a place using only six sentences. After reading the description you need to guess the place that has been described. It would really help if you say what clues helped you come to this conclusion.

1)Located in a continent where all mysteries lie

2)It's a place were there are triangular shaped buildings everywhere

3)The temperature out there could melt your eyes

4)The whole ground is covered with a material that people hate

5)The sun above you is making you die for water

6)You just wish that you could find the perfect shelter

    Hello Fadlan,
    I really love the description that you have put into your writing. I can really tell that you have worked hard on it. My guess is it is the sahara desert because i know that it is really ho there but you sort of tricked me with the triangle shaped buildings because i don't know anywhere that has those. Maybe next time you could put how long this took you to do or something like that?
