Hi bloggers. This week everyone in Te Waka Ako has to make one way to present their answers to their mountain inquiry topic, but in my class we didn't have time to present so we are presenting next week. The ways are to do a poster, slides and a animation, I did a animation and my topic is skiing. A google animation is something that you have to make a google slides and you add a character and you duplicate the slide and on the duplicated slide you have to move the character and you do that in every slide.
Here is my animation
I found making the slides hard because at the start I didn't know how to rotate the character but now I know how to rotate my character.
Don't forget to leave a comment.

There was 6 activity's for the groups large board games, racau sticks, blind fold game, ball games, watching people run and a long run. When it was the year 5 boys turn to run we got warmed up and started running, the year 5 boy who came first was a boy named Qais, I didn't know what place I came but I think I did good. When the year 5's are finished running it was the year 6's turn to run. When Cross Country was finished we had the bake sale in the old room 7 and most of the baking was 50 cents and I had 2 dollars.

Magical World of Crazy Science
Hi bloggers. On September 11th was the Crazy Science Show in the school I go to [Waikowhai Primary School]. So there was two people called Richard and Robyn, Richard was the one who did all the science and magic while Robyn was on the computer playing the music in the computer when ever Richard tells her to. The show was taking part at the school hall and Richard taught the whole school about chemicals. Richard taught us a lot about science, water, oxygen and more about science and I was impressed of his magic tricks and now I know a lot about science.
The most amazing thing I saw was that Richard made a big gigantic bubble and he made his own fireworks with a lighter.
I learnt that paper lifts when air blows across the curve of air pressure and I learnt the word polymer which means to turn liquid into solid.
I wonder how does Richard do the magic tricks and how did he know all about science.
What I could do is at home is that I could try the science that is easy and try to hover a ping pong ball by turning on the hairdryer vertically.

Mt Ruapehu Senior School Camp
Hi bloggers. On week 5 term 3 it was the senior school camp on Waikowhai Primary School!. The camp was taking place on Mt Ruapehu and we have to split in 8 colour groups Red, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Pink, Purple, Green and Turquoise and I was in the pink group. So in the bus trip we stopped at Hamilton Gardens for morning tea and we had to do a activity where Ms Sands gives each group a piece of paper and on the paper are pictures from the gardens and each colour group has to walk around the garden and find the same picture from the piece of paper and you have to write the garden that it is in. The winner of the activity was the pink group which was the group that I was in and for the prizes we got chocolate, who came second place was the purple group. The next stop was Otorohanga we had lunch there and explored the Ed Hillary walkway. The final stop was Taumarunui primary and we played at the playground and had afternoon tea. Finally we were going to the hotel called The Park, when we arrived there we took all our luggage and got the keys to our rooms. If you want to see more about the camp there is a camp booklet slideshow for you to see.
Here is my slideshow
What I found challenging was when I was up the mountain skiing.
My success was when I learnt how to stop.

Book Week
Hi bloggers. Two weeks ago was book week and I think it was the most exciting week because at Monday to Friday was the book fair where you can buy books. On Wednesday the seniors did the poetry competition when you have to come up with a poem that you present to your classroom. On Thursday was the poetry competition finals and that is when the best poets from your classroom have to present their same poem to three classrooms. Then top four poets have to present their poem to the whole school. On Wednesday a poet visited our school and on Friday we had the favourite character parade where you have to dress up as your favourite character from a book. I think it was the best week so far this term and I really liked it. Here are some photos

Commenting Sentence Starters
Hello there bloggers. At Thursday the 10th of August I did a cybersmart lesson with Gerhard and the lesson is about commenting on other peoples blogs properly. First we were asked to do a padlet about how to start your comments under positive, thoughtful and helpful. Then we had to go to a google drawing and you had to screenshot a post from a blog and put it in a box and you link it to the blog you got the screenshot from. Then you had to write a positive, thoughtful and a helpful comment and a question. Then there is a box to combine all the short comments and questions.

Maths Tent Model
Hello Bloggers. On Thursday the 3rd of August Te Waka Ako [my classroom] had to make our own small tents using toothpicks and coloured modelling clay. You use the toothpicks to make shapes and you use the modelling clay to stick the toothpicks together. I found it a bit frustrating because I made lots of tent designs but most of them broke, so when I did my last tent design I did it quite simple because I didn't want my design to break. What was good is that my last design didn't break. The shapes I used were triangles and I used a square as the base. I have learnt that the smaller the design the longer your design will stand. I think it was fun and I would like to do it again.
